A Service is what Patients book and pay for at your Clinic. Owners and Managers keep them under Settings, then Services. Each maps to one of Clayform's Treatment Types, which decides the Consents, Aftercare, photo views and the stock a Treatment Record lists first.
Add a Service
Choose New Service, fill in the Service card, then Create Service. Your first one bookable online completes a step of Setting up your Clinic.
- Name, Price (£) and VAT code: one price per Service, never per Practitioner, so the same treatment on two areas and on three is two Services.
- Treatment Type: search the list, which shows what each one's records need. If none fits, choose Ask Clayform to add it rather than a near match, which would attach the wrong Consents; you get an email once it's added.
- Duration and Clean-down buffer: a standard length, or Custom…. Patients see the duration; the buffer after it keeps the Practitioner, and any Room, blocked.
- Group on the Clinic Page and Description (Clinic Page): its heading and your own words there.
Then tick whether it is bookable online (Clinic Page, Directory, AI Receptionist); if not, the list marks it Clinic-side only. Tick whether it needs a Room: any Room will do.
Consult and treat, or Comes off treatment
For a treatment, a tick makes the Service Consult and treat: the Appointment starts with an in-person consultation, at the Service's one price and time, and the Patient is treated only if it is right for them. A new Service starts with Clayform's suggestion for its Treatment Type.
For a consultation, the tick is Comes off treatment: its price comes off any treatment done at the same Appointment, and is kept in full when none follows. Make it long enough for both: at Checkout the treatment fits inside its time.
For a prescription-only Treatment Type, online booking offers only times with Prescriber Cover; your team can still book with an Override.
Who may perform it, and Add-ons
Who may perform it lists everyone here who treats, all ticked on a new Service. Only Verified Practitioners are ever scheduled; a Visiting Prescriber may be listed for same-day treatment on a Visit Day.
Under Add-ons, tick the Services offered with this one at the booking summary and at Checkout, when the same Practitioner can perform them back to back. Each becomes a second Appointment under its own Payment Policy.
Payment Policy
The Clinic default shows your Clinic's Payment Policy and what it comes to on this price. Its own Payment Policy gives this Service alone a different cancellation charge, free-cancellation window or deposit. The Clinic default is set in Settings › Payment Policy.
Change or archive a Service
To change a Service, open it, then choose Save Service. A Booking keeps the price and Payment Policy it was made with, so an edit never reprices one.
Archive on the list takes a Service out of booking for good: Bookings already made keep it, but it can't be changed or brought back. Show archived lists those.
The Service Kit
On a Service's page, open Service Kit: the Products one Appointment of it uses. Choose Add a line, then the Product, its Kind (Injectable or Consumable) and how much it takes Per Appointment; a fraction is fine for something shared. Add any Notes (optional), then Save the Service Kit.
The Service Kit feeds the Suggested Order, and a Treatment Record suggests its stock first. A POM line never becomes an Order Line by itself: the Suggested Order asks for a Prescription for each booked Patient. See Ordering from the Pharmacy.
